Graduate Student Presents Unique Expressions in Highlighting the Work of John Paul II
(For professors, students, teachers, persons having basic knowledge of psychology and history of philosophy.)
The Saint John Paul II Institute at the University of St. Thomas offers a Master of Arts degree in John Paul II Studies that encompasses a series of Anthropological Course Requirements, Social Teaching Course Requirements, Mission Course Requirements, and Synthesis Course Requirements. The Institute similarly offers a Graduate Certificate in John Paul II Studies as well as a minor in Polish studies. The John Paul II Studies program also offers a course on John Paul II in the Context of Polish History and Culture: JPII 5340, which includes a memorable pilgrimage to Poland.
In his Final Paper for JPII 5300: Redemptor Hominis and the witness of John Paul II, graduate student David Zanca studies the life of John Paul II through his autobiographical writings and very brief selections from his works. Zanca then merges his artistic, philosophical, theological, spiritual and pastoral gifts with a focus on his first encyclical, Redemptor Hominis (“The Redeemer of Man”), as hermeneutical key to his project and works. David Zanca’s Final Paper may be downloaded at this link.
It should be noted that David Zanca presented his paper and exceptional insights after his first semester of studies at the John Paul II Institute.
