Anti-Polish Distortions by Polish-Jewish Historian are Analyzed and Invalidated.

In this issue of Polish-Jewish Studies (Volume 4, 2023), Polish historian Piotr Gontarczyk analyzes the book Judenjagd (English: Hunt for Jews) by Polish-Jewish historian Jan Grabowski. Gontarczyk methodically examines the various ways in which Grabowski misrepresents events, omits relevant material facts, and dismisses witnesses whose testimonies conflict with Grabowski’s one-sided thesis. As will be seen, the result is a succession of distorted fictions that undeniably subvert Grabowski’s credibility.

The article is “Judenjagd: A Case in Point for the Study of Holocaust Distortion”, and a PDF of the article is available at this link.

Polish-Jewish Studies is a bilingual (Polish-English) annual journal that is dedicated to the history of the Jewish community in 20th-century Poland, preserving the memory of Polish Jews, and presenting the complexity of Polish-Jewish relations. As intended by the editors, the periodical serves as a forum for the exchange of current findings in the field of Jewish studies by researchers from various academic centres.

The papers collected in this fourth issue of Polish-Jewish Studies are the result of the two academic conferences organized by Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance: “The Time of Occupation and Captivity. Jews and Poles Facing Totalitarianisms 1939–1956” and “Aktion Reinhardt and the Holocaust of the Polish Jews – in the Circle of the Mechanisms and Perpetrators”.
